Leicester City is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our dynamic team on a temporary basis at an attractive rate of £38 per hour. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality support to individuals facing mental health challenges, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism.

As a Social Worker/AMHP, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing care plans, and delivering interventions tailored to the unique needs of service users. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out mental health assessments in accordance with the Mental Health Act.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery.
  • Providing crisis intervention and support to individuals in distress.
  • Advocating for service users' rights and ensuring access to appropriate resources.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • AMHP qualification and experience in mental health settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases.
