The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Assessment & Intervention Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people within our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out assessments, developing intervention plans, and providing ongoing support to families in need.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, CSS, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and welfare.
