Bedford - AP/DTM - Child in Care Team (29hrs/week)P/T
Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children in care? Join our dynamic Child in Care Team in Bedford as an AP/DTM (29 hours/week, Part-Time). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is committed to providing high-quality support and advocacy for children and young people in care, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
As a member of our Child in Care Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Building strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their well-being and safety.
- Advocating for the rights and needs of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA Social Work, MA Social Work, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children in care or in similar settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
