Solihull - Youth Justice Officer - £32.50
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Justice Officer to join our team in Solihull at a competitive salary of £32.50 per hour. In this vital role, you will work with young people who are at risk of offending or have already entered the youth justice system. Your primary objective will be to support and guide these individuals towards positive life choices, contributing to their rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing tailored intervention plans for young offenders.
- Building trusting relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of individuals on your caseload.
- Collaborating with schools, social services, and other agencies to create a supportive network.
- Providing guidance and support during court appearances and ensuring compliance with court orders.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
- A relevant degree or qualification in social work, youth work, or a related field.
- Experience working with young people, particularly in a justice or social care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse individuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound understanding of youth justice legislation and safeguarding practices.
