We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection and Safeguarding team in Wellingborough, Northampton. Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support and intervention.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.
- Providing support, guidance, and advocacy for children and families to ensure their needs are met.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to promoting the best outcomes for children.
