We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assessment & Safeguarding Senior Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Darlington. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding vulnerable children and adults, conducting thorough assessments, and developing effective care plans. You will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for those we serve, while also providing supervision and guidance to junior staff members.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify needs and risks.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to service users.
