We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment/Safeguarding Team in Darlington. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing support to families, and implementing safeguarding measures to protect vulnerable children. Your expertise will play a vital role in making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to children and families during challenging times.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (degree in social work or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in assessment and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
