As a Family Safeguarding QSW, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and family situations to identify risks and strengths.
  • Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they are engaged and empowered throughout the safeguarding process.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and working closely with partner organizations to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., degree in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and family safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport with families.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
