Haringey Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Assessment & Safeguarding Team on a temporary basis, offering a competitive rate of £32 per hour (Umbrella). As a Social Worker in the Assessment & Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and families.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans to promote safety and well-being.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a cohesive approach to safeguarding.
- Maintaining accurate and timely case records and reports in line with statutory requirements.
- Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
