This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker ready to step into a management role, supporting the delivery of high-quality adult mental health services while contributing to strategic development and team leadership.
Salary
£46,142 - £50,269 (SCP 35-39)
Additional £82 per AMHP shift (approx. 25-30 per year when warranted)The Role
As an Assistant Team Manager, you will support the Team Manager in the organisation, leadership, and performance of a busy Adult Mental Health team. You will play a key role in driving service quality, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
You will also contribute to strategic planning, service improvements, and ensure that the team delivers effective, person-centred care.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Team Manager in leading, managing, and supervising social care servicesAssist with staff supervision, development, and performance managementEnsure services are delivered in line with legislation, policy, and best practiceContribute to service planning, quality assurance, and continuous improvementSupport budget monitoring and resource managementOversee workload allocation and ensure timely assessments, care planning, and reviewsContribute to audits, reporting, and performance monitoringSupport recruitment, induction, and staff wellbeing processesDeputise for the Team Manager where requiredCarry a reduced caseload where necessaryAbout You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
