We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team in Birmingham. This vital role involves providing high-quality support and guidance to unaccompanied minors, ensuring their safety and well-being while facilitating their integration into the local community. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, social workers, and external agencies to deliver tailored care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading assessments and reviews for unaccompanied minors, ensuring compliance with local and national policies.
  • Providing expert advice and support to social workers and other team members in complex case management.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that promote the best interests of each child.
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to UASC.
