We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in the vibrant London Borough of Islington. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people in foster care.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families to determine appropriate placement and support services
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with foster carers and other professionals
  • Conducting regular visits to monitor the well-being and progress of children in care
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to children and young people in foster care

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA in Social Work)
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Experience working in a similar role within a children's services setting
  • Strong assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
