Haringey Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Assessment & Safeguarding team. As a QSW, you will play a crucial role in assessing needs, developing care plans, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals, ensuring they receive the support and services they require.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families, identifying risks and needs.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Carrying out safeguarding investigations in line with statutory guidelines and best practices.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategic planning for safeguarding initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in child protection, assessment, and safeguarding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
