Oldham - Approved Mental Health Professional
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our dynamic team in Oldham. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises, ensuring their rights and needs are upheld while providing high-quality social work services. Your expertise will contribute to the development of care plans and the coordination of multidisciplinary interventions aimed at promoting recovery and well-being.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting mental health assessments in line with the Mental Health Act.
- Collaborating with health and social care professionals to create comprehensive care plans.
- Providing consultation and training to colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Representing the organization in legal proceedings and safeguarding meetings.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
- A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Approved Mental Health Professional status or the willingness to undergo the necessary training.
- Strong knowledge of mental health legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
