As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing care plans that address the individual needs of children and families.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and services.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and other social services.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior social workers and support staff, fostering their professional development.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience, specifically within a children’s services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and best practices related to children with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
