We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Safeguarding Social Worker to join our team in Peterborough. In this vital role, you will work to protect vulnerable children and adults, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will be responsible for assessing needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with other professionals and agencies to provide the best support for those in need. This position offers an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families within our community.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify risks and needs. Developing, implementing, and reviewing safeguarding plans in collaboration with clients and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families, fostering a collaborative approach to safeguarding. Attending court hearings and contributing to legal proceedings when necessary.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in safeguarding and child protection work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
