Sefton Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Safeguarding Team. This pivotal role involves working with vulnerable adults to ensure their safety, well-being, and empowerment. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding individuals from abuse and neglect while promoting their rights and dignity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults in need of safeguarding interventions.
  • Developing and implementing safeguarding plans in collaboration with service users, families, and other professionals.
  • Investigating allegations of abuse or neglect and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Providing support and guidance to individuals and their families, helping them navigate the safeguarding process.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in adult safeguarding or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different agencies.
