Join our dedicated Children's Social Work team in Blackburn as a Qualified Social Worker specializing in Children in Our Care (CIOC). In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children in care. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing care plans, conducting assessments, and providing support to children and their families in challenging situations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in line with statutory requirements. Building strong relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders. Providing advice and support to foster carers and adoptive families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work capacity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
