We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding team in Peterborough. In this role, you will play a crucial part in protecting vulnerable children and supporting families to achieve positive outcomes. Your expertise will help to assess and manage complex cases, ensuring that children are safe and that families receive the necessary support to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of casework and interventions. Providing support and guidance to families, promoting their strengths and resilience. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.

Essential qualifications and skills required for this position include:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with families and professionals. Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.

Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Peterborough as a Children’s Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families within our community. As a valued member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for children in need of support and protection.
