Join our dedicated Locality Team in Stockport as a Qualified Social Worker (Children's Services) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and addressing the needs of children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes in their lives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. Working closely with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when necessary.To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly within a locality team. Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
