We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Child Protection Team in Derbyshire. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and their families. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play an essential role in assessing needs, implementing care plans, and working collaboratively with families and other agencies to promote positive outcomes for children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in child protection conferences and court proceedings as required.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and services.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and safeguarding work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
