Join our dedicated team in Barking & Dagenham as a Senior Social Worker specializing in Family Support and Safeguarding. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with families, other professionals, and agencies to assess needs, develop intervention plans, and provide ongoing support to those in vulnerable situations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify risks and needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners. Monitoring progress and ensuring the delivery of effective interventions to safeguard children. Providing professional guidance, supervision, and support to junior social workers and trainees. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in child protection or safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working in partnership with families.
