Join our dedicated Fostering Team in Walsall as a Children's Social Worker (SSW) and make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with foster carers, children, and various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for those in our care. Your expertise will guide the assessment, support, and development of foster placements, ensuring that children feel safe, nurtured, and valued.

As a Children's SSW, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments of prospective foster carers and supporting their development. Developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual children's needs. Working closely with children and families to provide therapeutic support and guidance. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in fostering or related fields. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
