As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in leading assessments and safeguarding processes, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and adults at risk. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored support plans.
  • Providing expert guidance and supervision to social work staff and students.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding.
  • Managing complex cases and making critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in social work, specifically in assessment and safeguarding.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
