Wokingham - Adults Safeguarding Practitioner

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Adults Safeguarding Practitioner to join our team in Wokingham. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable adults and ensuring their well-being.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations into safeguarding concerns raised for adults at risk
  • Developing and implementing care plans to support individuals in need of protection
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate safeguarding interventions
  • Providing advocacy and support to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their care
  • Delivering training and awareness sessions on adult safeguarding within the community

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
  • Proven experience working in adult safeguarding within a social care setting
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult safeguarding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users and stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions under pressure
