Nottingham City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Children in Care team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children and young people in care. As a QSW, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to provide high-quality support and interventions tailored to individual needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children in care.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and relevant professionals.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in a statutory setting.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and frameworks related to children in care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
