Nottingham City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Children in Care team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children and young people in care. As a QSW, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to provide high-quality support and interventions tailored to individual needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children in care. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and relevant professionals. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and considered. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive parents. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a statutory setting. Strong knowledge of legislation and frameworks related to children in care.
