Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Safeguarding Team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in our community. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of effective safeguarding strategies, working collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to promote positive outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing tailored support plans for children and families.
  • Managing a caseload of children in need, ensuring timely interventions and support.
  • Working closely with multi-agency teams to coordinate services and resources.
  • Providing guidance and support to families to enhance their parenting skills.
  • Participating in child protection conferences and court proceedings as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
