We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Need (CIN) Team in Swindon. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, developing effective intervention plans, and ensuring that the best interests of children are always prioritized.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans and intervention strategies.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, including health services, schools, and community organizations.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to team development.

To be successful in this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have a minimum of two years’ experience in children's social work, preferably within a CIN context. Essential skills include:

  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Empathy and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.
