The City of Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults within our community. As a member of our dynamic team, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns, providing essential support and interventions that promote positive outcomes for individuals and families.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of adult safeguarding needs and risks.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies and procedures.
  • Providing expert advice and consultation to colleagues and external partners regarding safeguarding practices.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the MASH Team.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in adult social work, particularly in safeguarding.
  • Strong analytical and assessment skills with a solid understanding of safeguarding legislation and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
