Join our dedicated Duty & Assessment Team in Shropshire as a Children’s Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in our community. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will undertake assessments, develop care plans, and work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children. Your expertise will help us respond effectively to referrals, assess risk, and provide timely interventions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of children's needs and circumstances. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure comprehensive support for children and families. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with local policies and procedures. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA in Social Work, MA in Social Work, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection, assessment, and intervention. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
