We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection (CP) team in Southend. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, other professionals, and community organizations to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support.
  • Developing and implementing child protection plans in line with legislative requirements.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support and intervention.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
