We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's SW - Learning Disabilities Team in Walsall. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting adults with learning disabilities, ensuring they receive the care and guidance necessary to lead fulfilling lives. You will work collaboratively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess needs, develop care plans, and implement support strategies that promote independence and well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals with learning disabilities to identify their needs and preferences.
  • Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with service users and their families, ensuring that support is person-centered and outcome-focused.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to individuals, helping them navigate social services and access necessary resources.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and support services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities or within a similar social work setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
