We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Manchester City - South CP/CIN Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families within the local community.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks
  • Developing and implementing care plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide holistic support
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews as required
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interventions and interactions

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and HCPC registration
  • Demonstrated experience in child protection and children in need work
  • Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional standards

In addition to the above requirements, candidates with experience working in a similar setting or with additional training in relevant areas such as trauma-informed practice or systemic family therapy will be highly regarded.
