Caritas Recruitment is working with Oxfordshire County Council to recruit an experienced EHCP Casework Officer to join their SEND Service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEND professional to manage a dedicated caseload of children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring statutory responsibilities are delivered effectively and within required timescales.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs
  • Leading Annual Reviews, Phase Transfers, and complex casework
  • Acting as the named contact for families, schools, and professionals
  • Monitoring EHCP provision and outcomes
  • Coordinating support across education, health, and social care services
  • Preparing reports and presenting cases at panels, mediation, and SEND Tribunals
  • Ensuring statutory processes are completed within timescales
  • Maintaining accurate records and high-quality EHCP documentation
  • Supporting children, young people, and families throughout the EHCP journey

Requirements

To be considered, you should have:

  • Previous EHCP, SEND Casework, Tribunal, or SEND Resolution experience
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory processes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing complex caseloads and competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong report writing and record-keeping skills
  • A resilient and professional approach in a fast-paced environment
