Enfield Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children’s Services team, focusing on Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN) cases. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families within our community. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, families, and external agencies to provide support, guidance, and intervention where necessary.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families in need of support.
  • Managing a caseload of CP and CIN cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Building trusting relationships with children, families, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes.
  • Preparing and presenting reports for court proceedings and child protection conferences.
  • Providing advice and support to families, empowering them to make informed decisions.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and working with children in need.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
