We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Salford Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and interventions to children with disabilities and their families.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertaking assessments and developing care plans for children with disabilities.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families to promote their well-being and safeguarding.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals and educators, to ensure holistic support for children with disabilities.
  • Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve service delivery.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities and their families in a social work setting.
  • Excellent assessment and intervention skills, with a strong focus on promoting positive outcomes for children.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse individuals.
