Torbay Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Social Work Project Team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals’ needs and developing tailored support plans.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to adults facing complex challenges, including mental health issues, disabilities, and safeguarding concerns.
  • Working closely with families, carers, and other stakeholders to promote positive outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with the Social Work England.
  • Experience in adult social work, particularly in assessments and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
