Social Worker - Safeguarding Team

Caritas Recruitment is working with Oxfordshire County Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Good-rated Ofsted authority that continues to invest in Children's Services through its innovative Family Solutions Plus (FSP) model, helping children and families achieve positive outcomes through restorative, relationship-based practice.

About the Role

  • You will manage a caseload of children and families, completing assessments, undertaking safeguarding investigations, and supporting children through Child Protection, Child in Need and court processes.
  • You'll work closely with partner agencies and use a strengths-based approach to achieve the best outcomes for families.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualified Children's Social Work experience

Strong experience of:

  • Child Protection (CP)
  • Child in Need (CIN)
  • Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Court work and care proceedings
  • Excellent assessment and report-writing skills
  • Ability to travel for visits and meetings across the county

Working Pattern

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm
