We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Children's Team Manager to lead our Assessment Team in Bolton. This pivotal role involves overseeing the assessment processes for children and families, ensuring their needs are met effectively and compassionately. As a key member of our social work leadership team, you will be responsible for the supervision and development of social workers, promoting best practices and compliance with statutory requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing and supporting a team of qualified social workers in conducting assessments and interventions. Ensuring high standards of practice and safeguarding measures are upheld. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to provide comprehensive support to children and families. Monitoring casework and performance metrics to drive improvements and outcomes. Providing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in children’s social work, including supervisory or managerial experience. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child welfare.
