We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join a Children’s Child Protection team in Lincolnshire. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children, young people and families by promoting safety, stability and positive outcomes. You will manage a varied caseload involving children who may be at risk of significant harm, working within relevant legislation, statutory guidance and professional standards.

Your responsibilities will include undertaking high-quality assessments, preparing and reviewing plans, completing statutory visits and producing clear, evidence-based reports for meetings, reviews and court proceedings. You will work collaboratively with children, parents, carers and professionals across education, health, police and other partner services. The role requires you to identify risk, respond effectively to safeguarding concerns, develop purposeful interventions and ensure that children’s voices, wishes and feelings remain central to decision-making. You will also contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, legal planning and permanence work where required.

Applicants must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with the relevant professional regulator. Recent experience of children’s social work, child protection, looked-after children or court-related work is highly desirable, together with a sound understanding of assessment, risk management and safeguarding practice. You should be confident managing competing priorities, working under pressure and maintaining accurate case records. Strong communication, relationship-building and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to work respectfully with families while making proportionate, defensible decisions. A full driving licence and access to suitable transport may be required for visits across the area. In return, you can expect professional support, reflective supervision and opportunities to develop your practice within a committed multidisciplinary environment.
