Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking to make a real difference for children and young people in care?
Wakefield's Children in Care Service is seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join their supportive team, working with looked-after children and those subject to care proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity to undertake meaningful work that promotes stability, permanence and positive outcomes for vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of looked-after children and children subject to care proceedings.Complete statutory duties in line with the Children Act 1989 and relevant legislation.Develop and implement effective care plans that support positive outcomes and permanency.Work collaboratively with families, carers and multi-agency partners.Prepare high-quality court reports and attend hearings where required.Ensure children receive the highest standard of safeguarding and support.What we're looking for:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.Experience within Children in Care and court work.Strong assessment, report-writing and relationship-building skills.Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practice.If you're interested in hearing more, please get in touch with:
