We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work (C&F) Team in Wirral. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive. You will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions that make a positive impact on their lives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing child protection plans in line with statutory guidelines.
  • Building effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies to promote best outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of all casework and interventions.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children’s social work, particularly in child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a varied caseload.
