Bradford Social Services are currently recruiting for a number of experienced Qualified Social Worker for their Children Services. The roles are based in their Child in Care / Permanence Team.
These positions will be for a period of 6 months but are likely to be extended. The Permanence Team is a specialist social work team working with disabled children, young people and their families.
The permanence team in Bradford children's services offers a safe, stable, and long-term home for children who cannot live with their birth parents.
They ensure every child has a loving, consistent environment, whether through adoption, long-term foster care, or living with extended family; to support their emotional and legal security. The team focuses on finding a permanent solution for the child's upbringing through the following Long-Term Planning
Duties include : rehabilitation with birth parents, finding kinship carers (family and friends), long-term fostering, or adoption, Court Work
Caseload is no more that 18 per Social Worker with open door policy with managers, regular supervision and training offered. Parking is located nearby.

As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and other professionals to develop and implement effective plans that promote long-term positive outcomes for children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify their needs and strengths. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in line with legislation and best practice. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for children and their families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working within children's services, particularly in a permanence or child protection setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on evidence.
