Havering is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our Child in Care Team on an Umbrella contract, offering an attractive rate of £37.52 per hour. As a Social Worker in the Child in Care Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and their families.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their safety and welfare.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of best practices.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working within a Child in Care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
