Solihull Council is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. As a Children’s Social Worker in the MASH team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting initial assessments and evaluations of children and families in need of support.
- Collaborating with various agencies, including health, education, and police, to ensure a coordinated response to safeguarding concerns.
- Developing and implementing child protection plans and interventions tailored to individual family needs.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families, preferably in a safeguarding context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent analytical and assessment skills, with a sound understanding of child development and safeguarding policies.
