Role: Qualified social worker (3-5 years experience)

Location: North East

Start Date: 15/07/2020

An excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced social worker, this role will form a part of the children’s service team, assisting with the provision of exceptional service for the protection of children.

Role Profile:

  • manage your agreed caseload
  • devise individual care plans
  • assess, monitor and review the social care needs of the child
  • conduct interviews with individuals and families to assess and review their situation
  • write up reports on findings which meet specified standards and timescales
  • in some cases, prepare reports for legal action
  • take appropriate action in conjunction with partner agencies
  • monitor, review and reassess the care services undertaken

Person Profile:

  • excellent communication skills,
  • high level of accuracy in recording data
  • good knowledge of relevant legislation
  • an understanding of the philosophies and legal framework of professional social work
  • a desire to develop skills and reputation in the sector
  • HCPC registered
In possession of a social work or other professional qualification e.g. DipSW, CQSW, BASW
