We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Hull. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the area.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans to support children and families in crisis situations. Working collaboratively with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and law enforcement, to ensure comprehensive support for families. Attending court hearings and providing evidence as needed in child protection cases. Participating in regular team meetings and case conferences to review progress and ensure effective safeguarding measures.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within children's services, with a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Strong assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage a complex caseload effectively.
