Devon County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Social Worker to join our Assessment Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. As an Advanced Social Worker, you will assess complex cases, provide expert guidance, and lead the development of care plans tailored to individual needs. Your expertise will help shape the future of vulnerable individuals and families, making a significant impact in their lives.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing intervention plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Providing supervision and support to less experienced social workers and students. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory standards. Engaging with families and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and assessment work. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
