Job description

Required: Qualified social worker for adult's mental health team
Location: East London

Start Date: 15/01/2021

Role Overview:

Working with and providing support and safeguarding to vulnerable people who are suffering from a mental health condition, exclusion or diminished capacity.

Responsibilities:

The role involves completing assessments to determine the best course of action for intervention and provision of treatment, and facilitating service user choice and empowerment, promoting independence as far as possible. Applicants must be able to record, investigate and respond to safeguards and risk management boards, complaints and compliments and provide relevant, detailed and professional responses. Additional requirements include the provision and/or coordination of a range of psychological interventions with a focus on improving the health and well-being of individuals facing personal adversity.

Additional experience/qualifications:

Applicant should demonstrate a good working knowledge of legislation such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983 (and 2007 amendments), and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and hold a relevant professional qualification (eg DipSW, CQSW, BASW).
